On Saturday 13th August at the Irish World Heritage Centre, some of the world’s finest classical and traditional Irish musicians are coming together in Manchester for a unique open air concert in the grounds of the Irish World Heritage Centre to commemorate a key moment in Ireland’s history.
The concert forms part of the Global and Diaspora strand of the overall Ireland 2016 Commemoration Programme, and is presented in association with the world renowed Hallé Orchestra and a suite of traditional Irish musicians including Mike McGoldrick, Dezi Donnelly and Cara Dillon.
The evening will celebrate Irish culture through music, poetry and tradtiional Irish dance. It features unique collaborations between the Hallé and Irish musicians.
This promises to be the highlight of the Irish cultural calendar in Manchester for Summer 2016.
