FILM - Women of 1916
The documentary “Guns and Chiffon” tells the story of women in the Easter Rising, War of Independence & Civil War, featuring first-hand accounts from the women involved. First shown on RTE.

TALK - Rebel Sisters
Dr Sonja Tiernan (Liverpool Hope University) tells the story of sisters Constance Markievicz & Eva Gore-Booth and their Manchester connections. They rejected their aristocratic backgrounds in County Sligo to strive for Irish independence, women’s suffrage & workers’ rights.
